At the FII8 Conference in Riyadh, with support from the Saudi Ministry of Investment and the presence of H.E. Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia-based venture studio BIM Ventures and Japan’s SBI Holding announced a significant partnership: the launch of BIM Capital. This $200 million joint venture aims to fuel economic growth and investment across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East by focusing on a range of high-impact investments.

Investment Focus and Strategy

BIM Capital will prioritize a diversified portfolio, including private equity, venture capital, debt funds, and real estate development funds. With a focus on attracting over $200 million (SAR750 million) in foreign direct investment (FDI) and targeting assets under management (AUM) exceeding $2 billion (SAR7.5 billion), BIM Capital aims to become a leading player in the region’s financial and investment sectors.

Sector Focus and Investment Goals

The fund’s investment strategy will emphasize high-growth areas such as technology ventures, emerging industries, and real estate development, providing both local and international investors access to innovative opportunities. By exploring investments in venture capital, private credit markets, and real estate development, BIM Capital seeks to offer flexible financing solutions tailored to support scaling businesses and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.

Supporting Growth Through Alternative Financing

Beyond traditional venture capital, BIM Capital will explore venture debt and private credit to provide alternative financing mechanisms. These options allow BIM Capital to support scalable business models while managing risk and delivering sustainable returns to investors. Through this diversified approach, BIM Capital aims to drive impactful growth, fostering economic development and supporting the vision of a thriving, diversified economy in the Middle East.
