STC and iBASIS Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Boost Digital Transformation in the Region
STC, the leading telecommunications and information technology group in Saudi Arabia, has signed a memorandum of understanding with iBASIS, a global leader in communications solutions for operators, to enhance digital transformation in the region. The signing of this memorandum was announced during the Capacity Middle East 2024 conference, held in Dubai from February 6th to 8th, where leaders and experts in digital infrastructure from the region and beyond gathered.
This partnership aims to bolster STC’s leadership in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector and enable IoT technology developers in Europe and America to expand their businesses in the Middle East. It is expected that this collaboration will elevate the level of IoT communication services and assist smart device manufacturers (OEMs) in exploring growth opportunities in the region.
Additionally, this partnership will support plans to enable IoT technologies and increase STC’s contribution to economic growth and diversification of investment opportunities in the region. This partnership is part of STC’s significant investments in supporting and developing digital infrastructure, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 to support digital transformation and enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global digital hub connecting the three continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe.
It is anticipated that this partnership will drive digital transformation in the region, providing innovative solutions to meet customer needs, particularly in the smart device manufacturing sector, and enhancing communication services in the IoT field to meet the future aspirations and requirements of businesses.
