Hope Fund invests $300,000 in a Thiqa platform for private tutoring to support entrepreneurs in the Emirates

Projects of Hope, the investment arm of the Hope Fund, has announced a $300,000 investment in the “Thiqa for Private Tutoring” platform in collaboration with GIO Capital and Dr. Lamiaa Mahmoud, in the seventh episode of the “Bayan” reality TV show dedicated to entrepreneurs. It is the first regional investment platform that brings together the public and private sectors.

“Thiqa for Private Tutoring” was established as a UAE-based educational technology platform, providing tutoring services across the United Arab Emirates, with a focus on quality, comprehensive management, and personalized student consultations.

Projects of Hope reflects its strategy in investing in scalable companies committed to delivering quality value to the market, characterized by founders who have forward-thinking and aim to make a breakthrough in their sectors.

Hamdan Karmastaji, Co-founder and CFO of “Thiqa for Private Tutoring,” emphasized the importance of the investment, stating: “Our journey started modestly with significant challenges, but today we are proud of our positive impact on our students and teachers, and we are grateful for the support of Projects of Hope and other investors on our journey.”

Ayman bin Toufiq Al-Muayyad, Chairman of the Board of the Hope Fund, praised the joint investment platform between the public and private sectors, affirming its importance in driving entrepreneurship growth in the region.

Alia Abdulrahman Al Mazrouei, CEO of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, expressed her pride in the UAE’s participation in the “Bayan” program, affirming the Fund’s commitment to supporting innovation and recognizing the potential of Emirati entrepreneurs.

The “Bayan” program is the first of its kind in the region, providing opportunities to showcase entrepreneurial talents and facilitate communication between promising entrepreneurs and investment opportunities.

The third season of “Bayan” was filmed at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, featuring 41 companies presenting to a committee of investors for the opportunity to secure investment and strategic opportunities to help them achieve growth and success in their ventures.
