{"id":72196,"date":"2026-08-03T08:37:24","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T05:37:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/?p=72196"},"modified":"2026-08-03T08:40:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T05:40:20","slug":"middle-east-startup-investments-decline-by-78-3-million-in-the-final-week-of-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2026\/08\/middle-east-startup-investments-decline-by-78-3-million-in-the-final-week-of-july\/","title":{"rendered":"Middle East Startup Investments Decline by $78.3 Million in the Final Week of July"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">New startup investments across the Middle East declined by $78.3 million during the final week of July compared with the second and third weeks of the same month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">According to the <strong>entArabi <\/strong>Weekly Investment Report, covering the period from July 27 to July 31, startups in the region announced four investment deals worth a combined $17.8 million, involving five companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Saudi Arabia Leads Regional Investments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">Saudi Arabia topped the region, accounting for 53.4% of the total announced investments, with $9.5 million raised across the insurtech and gaming sectors through startups DESAISIV and Ash Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">The United Arab Emirates ranked second, capturing 30.9% of total investments with $5.5 million raised by Bundle, a startup operating in the fintech and blockchain sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">The e-commerce sector came in third through Fincart, which secured $2.8 million, representing 15.73% of the week&#8217;s total announced investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Key Investment Deals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Saudi-based DESAISIV, an insurtech startup, launched an $8 million growth funding round to accelerate the development of its artificial intelligence technologies and expand its product portfolio, alongside the launch of its AI Insurance Agent platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UAE-based Bundle, a Web3 rewards platform, raised $5.5 million in a Pre-Seed funding round as it emerged from stealth mode and launched its global shared rewards platform. The round was co-led by Ethereal Ventures and Further Ventures, with participation from Nascent, GSR, Scenius Capital, Anchorage Digital, and Nuwa Capital.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saudi game development studio Ash Games secured $1.5 million in a Seed funding round co-led by Merak Capital\u0631 and Impact46 through the Merak Gaming Fund.
