{"id":70504,"date":"2026-07-08T13:52:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T10:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/?p=70504"},"modified":"2026-07-08T14:08:58","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T11:08:58","slug":"planno-secures-strategic-investment-from-incubayt-to-expand-ai-powered-solar-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2026\/07\/planno-secures-strategic-investment-from-incubayt-to-expand-ai-powered-solar-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Planno Secures Strategic Investment from Incubayt to Expand AI-Powered Solar Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Planno Secures Strategic Investment from Incubayt to Expand Its AI-Powered Solar Platform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The investment will accelerate the UAE-based climatetech startup&#8217;s expansion across 16 international markets while strengthening its geospatial AI solutions for the solar industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">UAE-based Planno, a climatetech startup specializing in geospatial artificial intelligence (GeoAI) for the solar industry, has secured a strategic investment from Incubayt Investments, a sustainability-focused venture capital firm, to accelerate its international expansion and enhance its AI-powered platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">Founded in 2023 by Daniel Domingues, Planno has developed a GeoAI platform that combines satellite imagery with local market intelligence to help solar developers, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, and public sector organizations identify high-potential commercial and industrial rooftops for solar installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">Following the investment, the Dubai-headquartered startup has expanded its footprint from the GCC to 16 markets across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the United States, serving a growing customer base that includes regional solar developers and global energy companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">The investment marks Incubayt Investments&#8217; first venture into the geospatial AI segment for solar energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">The firm was founded by Sami Khoreibi, who established the Arab world&#8217;s first utility-scale solar developer before exiting the business through a sale to a UK pension fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">Sami Khoreibi, Founder of Incubayt Investments said :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We invest in founders building globally ambitious companies from the UAE that address large-scale challenges&#8221; .<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">He added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;The solar industry has never lacked capital or sunlight. What it has lacked is intelligence\u2014knowing where to build and who owns the rooftops&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">He said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8221; In a data-driven economy, that insight is as valuable as the projects themselves, and Planno delivers exactly that&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">According to Daniel Domingues, Founder and CEO of Planno, rising global electricity demand\u2014driven by the rapid expansion of AI data centers and increasing geopolitical pressures on energy markets\u2014is creating new opportunities for distributed solar energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Oil and gas are global commodities, and even producing countries are exposed to price volatility.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">He said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Commercial rooftop solar remains one of the few energy cost-control tools that businesses can directly own&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">Planno&#8217;s analysis of commercial and industrial buildings across Dubai highlights the untapped potential of the market.
