{"id":53575,"date":"2025-11-21T19:22:23","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:22:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/?p=53575"},"modified":"2025-11-21T19:24:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:24:19","slug":"fra-grants-thunder-technology-holding-a-license-to-manage-investment-portfolios-and-funds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2025\/11\/fra-grants-thunder-technology-holding-a-license-to-manage-investment-portfolios-and-funds\/","title":{"rendered":"FRA Grants \u201cThunder Technology Holding\u201d a License to Manage Investment Portfolios and Funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"211\" data-end=\"392\">The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has officially licensed Thunder Technology Holding to operate investment portfolio management and investment fund management.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"211\" data-end=\"392\">The licensing decision was issued by the FRA\u2019s Founding and Licensing Committee, the body responsible for supervising non-banking financial activities.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"723\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"723\">The committee\u2019s powers include approving activity additions, amending company bylaws, authorizing branches, and handling liquidation or temporary suspension requests.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"1132\">The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has approved a new license for <strong data-start=\"900\" data-end=\"956\">Thunder Technology Holding for Financial Investments<\/strong>, allowing the company to engage in <strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1080\">investment portfolio formation and management, as well as investment fund management<\/strong>, as an addition to its primary business activities.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1550\">The decision was issued by the <strong data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1201\">Founding and Licensing Committee<\/strong>\u2014the committee responsible for overseeing companies operating in non-banking financial activities, in accordance with FRA Chairman\u2019s Decision No. 3060 of 2023. This committee has the authority to approve the establishment and licensing of companies operating under FRA supervision, as well as authorize the addition of new activities and mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1887\">The committee\u2019s responsibilities also include <strong data-start=\"1598\" data-end=\"1625\">amending company bylaws<\/strong>, granting initial or final approvals for such amendments, and approving <strong data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1739\">employee incentive and reward systems<\/strong>. It is also responsible for reviewing decisions issued by general assemblies of companies operating in the securities and consumer finance sectors.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"2250\">Furthermore, the committee has jurisdiction over approving the <strong data-start=\"1952\" data-end=\"1999\">opening, relocation, or closure of branches<\/strong> for companies operating in non-banking financial activities.
