The announcement was made during an event at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley, unveiling a new research center in Sunnyvale, California, to join existing MBZUAI research hubs in Paris and Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1352\">The new institute aims to accelerate the global development of foundational AI models and deepen engagement with the thriving AI ecosystem in California, which includes top researchers, startups, and leading technology companies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1409\"><strong data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1377\">Professor Eric Xing<\/strong>, President of MBZUAI, stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1690\">\n<p data-start=\"1412\" data-end=\"1690\">\u201cThe launch of IFM is a significant step toward global collaboration on cutting-edge AI research. Unlike traditional models focused on single output formats, PAN generates comprehensive state predictions, enabling advanced reasoning, planning, and decision-making.
