These results were further supported by <strong data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1086\">in-depth short interviews<\/strong> covering key topics such as <strong data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1187\">artificial intelligence, private wealth management, and hiring plans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"1192\" data-end=\"1635\">Commenting on the report, <strong data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1238\">Benjamin Cavalli<\/strong>, Head of Strategic Clients at <strong data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1301\">UBS Global Wealth Management<\/strong>, emphasized the importance of exploring the <strong data-start=\"1346\" data-end=\"1390\">thoughts, preparations, and expectations<\/strong> of some of the world&#8217;s most prominent entrepreneurs, especially as we approach the midpoint of a decade that has witnessed <strong data-start=\"1514\" data-end=\"1572\">strong economic growth and technological breakthroughs<\/strong>, despite the <strong data-start=\"1586\" data-end=\"1632\">global pandemic and geopolitical conflicts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"2095\">He added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"2095\"><br data-start=\"1646\" data-end=\"1649\" \/><em data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"2093\">&#8220;UBS is globally recognized as a leading wealth management institution, yet thousands of our clients are entrepreneurs or belong to <strong data-start=\"1782\" data-end=\"1820\">long-established business families<\/strong> that span generations. This report reflects the <strong data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"1893\">collective knowledge<\/strong> of some of the brightest entrepreneurs we work with and highlights their perspectives on the <strong data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"2090\">future of their industries, their business plans in the short term, and until the end of the decade<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"2102\" data-end=\"2129\"><strong data-start=\"2105\" data-end=\"2127\">Optimistic Outlook<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"2131\" data-end=\"2540\">Entrepreneurs&#8217; insights serve as an important <strong data-start=\"2177\" data-end=\"2239\">indicator of economic conditions and key drivers of change<\/strong>. The report reveals that <strong data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2314\">6 out of 10 participating entrepreneurs (61%)<\/strong> are <strong data-start=\"2319\" data-end=\"2350\">very or somewhat optimistic<\/strong> about the <strong data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2415\">future of their industries over the next 12 months<\/strong>, compared to only <strong data-start=\"2434\" data-end=\"2441\">17%<\/strong> who express <strong data-start=\"2454\" data-end=\"2467\">pessimism<\/strong>. Entrepreneurs in the <strong data-start=\"2490\" data-end=\"2502\">Americas<\/strong> emerged as the <strong data-start=\"2518\" data-end=\"2537\">most optimistic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"2542\" data-end=\"2781\">From a <strong data-start=\"2549\" data-end=\"2573\">sectoral perspective<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2575\" data-end=\"2637\">entrepreneurs in technology, healthcare, and manufacturing<\/strong> demonstrated the highest levels of confidence, whereas <strong data-start=\"2693\" data-end=\"2745\">those in consumer and essential services sectors<\/strong> showed relatively lower optimism.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"2783\" data-end=\"2871\">Entrepreneurs expect <strong data-start=\"2804\" data-end=\"2847\">companies to increase investment levels<\/strong> in the coming months:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"2872\" data-end=\"3131\">\n<li data-start=\"2872\" data-end=\"3031\"><strong data-start=\"2874\" data-end=\"2881\">51%<\/strong> of participants indicated that <strong data-start=\"2913\" data-end=\"2943\">companies in their sectors<\/strong> plan to <strong data-start=\"2952\" data-end=\"3002\">increase investments slightly or significantly<\/strong> in the next <strong data-start=\"3015\" data-end=\"3028\">12 months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3032\" data-end=\"3131\">This percentage rises to <strong data-start=\"3059\" data-end=\"3066\">86%<\/strong> when looking at <strong data-start=\"3083\" data-end=\"3128\">investment plans over the next five years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"3133\" data-end=\"3271\"><strong data-start=\"3133\" data-end=\"3269\">On a global level, entrepreneurs expect investments to focus primarily on human resources and acquisitions, according to the report.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"3272\" data-end=\"3697\">\n<li data-start=\"3272\" data-end=\"3462\"><strong data-start=\"3274\" data-end=\"3281\">54%<\/strong> believe that <strong data-start=\"3295\" data-end=\"3350\">companies in their sectors will invest in employees<\/strong> in the next <strong data-start=\"3363\" data-end=\"3376\">12 months<\/strong>, not only through <strong data-start=\"3395\" data-end=\"3405\">hiring<\/strong> but also through <strong data-start=\"3423\" data-end=\"3459\">incentives and training programs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3463\" data-end=\"3544\"><strong data-start=\"3465\" data-end=\"3472\">53%<\/strong> anticipate an <strong data-start=\"3487\" data-end=\"3541\">increase in strategic acquisitions or partnerships<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3545\" data-end=\"3614\"><strong data-start=\"3547\" data-end=\"3554\">47%<\/strong> foresee <strong data-start=\"3563\" data-end=\"3611\">investments in digital transformation and IT<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3615\" data-end=\"3697\"><strong data-start=\"3617\" data-end=\"3624\">45%<\/strong> expect investments in <strong data-start=\"3647\" data-end=\"3694\">AI infrastructure, applications, and models<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"3699\" data-end=\"3733\"><strong data-start=\"3699\" data-end=\"3731\">Investment trends by region:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"3734\" data-end=\"4056\">\n<li data-start=\"3734\" data-end=\"3822\">In the <strong data-start=\"3743\" data-end=\"3755\">Americas<\/strong>, investment in <strong data-start=\"3771\" data-end=\"3790\">human resources<\/strong> will be the <strong data-start=\"3803\" data-end=\"3819\">top priority<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3823\" data-end=\"3907\">In <strong data-start=\"3828\" data-end=\"3838\">Europe<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3840\" data-end=\"3883\">strategic acquisitions and partnerships<\/strong> will take precedence.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3908\" data-end=\"4056\">In <strong data-start=\"3913\" data-end=\"3929\">Asia-Pacific<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3931\" data-end=\"3994\">strategic acquisitions, AI infrastructure, and applications<\/strong> will be the top investment priorities over human resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"4058\" data-end=\"4504\">Over the <strong data-start=\"4067\" data-end=\"4085\">next 12 months<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"4087\" data-end=\"4122\">4 out of 10 entrepreneurs (44%)<\/strong> participating in the survey expect a <strong data-start=\"4160\" data-end=\"4196\">moderate or significant increase<\/strong> in workforce size in their sectors, rising to <strong data-start=\"4243\" data-end=\"4275\">68% over the next five years<\/strong>. The <strong data-start=\"4281\" data-end=\"4313\">most optimistic expectations<\/strong> for the next five years are found in the <strong data-start=\"4355\" data-end=\"4383\">Americas and Switzerland<\/strong>, while very <strong data-start=\"4396\" data-end=\"4468\">few entrepreneurs worldwide expect a major decline in workforce size<\/strong> over the next year or five years.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"4506\" data-end=\"4838\">The report also reveals that <strong data-start=\"4535\" data-end=\"4542\">52%<\/strong> of participants believe <strong data-start=\"4567\" data-end=\"4622\">companies in their sectors face hiring difficulties<\/strong>, while <strong data-start=\"4630\" data-end=\"4637\">45%<\/strong> indicate that businesses have had to <strong data-start=\"4675\" data-end=\"4731\">increase salaries and incentives to retain employees<\/strong>. These challenges appear <strong data-start=\"4757\" data-end=\"4835\">more severe in the Americas and Europe compared to the Asia-Pacific region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"4845\" data-end=\"4911\"><strong data-start=\"4848\" data-end=\"4909\">Artificial Intelligence: The Biggest Business Opportunity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"4913\" data-end=\"5226\">Entrepreneurs see <strong data-start=\"4931\" data-end=\"4982\">tremendous potential in artificial intelligence<\/strong>, with <strong data-start=\"4989\" data-end=\"5098\">62% of them considering it the technology that offers the greatest business opportunity for their sectors<\/strong>. Expectations are particularly <strong data-start=\"5130\" data-end=\"5167\">high in technology and healthcare<\/strong> but lower among entrepreneurs in <strong data-start=\"5201\" data-end=\"5223\">industrial sectors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"5228\" data-end=\"5367\">Over the next <strong data-start=\"5242\" data-end=\"5256\">five years<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"5258\" data-end=\"5281\">67% of participants<\/strong> believe that <strong data-start=\"5295\" data-end=\"5364\">AI will enhance productivity in companies within their industries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"5369\" data-end=\"5590\">Over the next <strong data-start=\"5383\" data-end=\"5396\">12 months<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"5398\" data-end=\"5507\">entrepreneurs identify political instability and uncertainty as the biggest threat to their sectors (53%)<\/strong>, followed by <strong data-start=\"5521\" data-end=\"5543\">higher taxes (42%)<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"5549\" data-end=\"5587\">major geopolitical conflicts (41%)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"5592\" data-end=\"5835\">Over the next <strong data-start=\"5606\" data-end=\"5620\">five years<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"5622\" data-end=\"5654\">taxes become the top concern<\/strong>, along with <strong data-start=\"5667\" data-end=\"5704\">political and geopolitical issues<\/strong>, as <strong data-start=\"5709\" data-end=\"5716\">46%<\/strong> of entrepreneurs believe that <strong data-start=\"5747\" data-end=\"5763\">higher taxes<\/strong> will be the <strong data-start=\"5776\" data-end=\"5832\">most negatively impactful factor on their industries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"5837\" data-end=\"6111\">Regarding <strong data-start=\"5847\" data-end=\"5879\">business-specific challenges<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"5881\" data-end=\"5888\">46%<\/strong> of entrepreneurs express concern about <strong data-start=\"5928\" data-end=\"6002\">regulatory changes and compliance requirements over the next 12 months<\/strong>, while <strong data-start=\"6010\" data-end=\"6017\">35%<\/strong> highlight <strong data-start=\"6028\" data-end=\"6053\">cybersecurity threats<\/strong>, particularly in <strong data-start=\"6071\" data-end=\"6100\">technology and healthcare<\/strong> sectors.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"6113\" data-end=\"6215\">Looking ahead, entrepreneurs seek to <strong data-start=\"6150\" data-end=\"6212\">balance personal interests, business, and investment goals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"6216\" data-end=\"6465\">\n<li data-start=\"6216\" data-end=\"6298\"><strong data-start=\"6218\" data-end=\"6225\">52%<\/strong> of participants want to focus more on <strong data-start=\"6264\" data-end=\"6295\">travel, hobbies, and family<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6299\" data-end=\"6365\"><strong data-start=\"6301\" data-end=\"6308\">49%<\/strong> aspire to become <strong data-start=\"6326\" data-end=\"6362\">investors in a variety of assets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6366\" data-end=\"6465\"><strong data-start=\"6368\" data-end=\"6375\">47%<\/strong> seek to invest in <strong data-start=\"6394\" data-end=\"6413\">other companies<\/strong>, such as <strong data-start=\"6423\" data-end=\"6462\">private equity or angel investments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"6467\" data-end=\"6507\">Among the <strong data-start=\"6477\" data-end=\"6504\">156 survey participants<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"6508\" data-end=\"6723\">\n<li data-start=\"6508\" data-end=\"6570\"><strong data-start=\"6510\" data-end=\"6517\">38%<\/strong> were from <strong data-start=\"6528\" data-end=\"6567\">the United States and Latin America<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6571\" data-end=\"6618\"><strong data-start=\"6573\" data-end=\"6580\">21%<\/strong> were from <strong data-start=\"6591\" data-end=\"6615\">Europe, Asia-Pacific<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"6619\" data-end=\"6657\"><strong
