{"id":20419,"date":"2024-03-05T18:08:55","date_gmt":"2024-03-05T15:08:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/?p=20419"},"modified":"2024-03-11T22:09:08","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T19:09:08","slug":"saudi-arabia-launches-5-initiatives-to-support-digital-entrepreneurship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2024\/03\/saudi-arabia-launches-5-initiatives-to-support-digital-entrepreneurship\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia Launches 5 Initiatives to Support Digital Entrepreneurship"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>The National Information Technology Development Program (<a href=\"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2024\/03\/ntdp-and-microsoft-join-forces-with-gameit-to-revolutionize-cognitive-learning-through-advanced-technology\/\">NTDP<\/a>) announced at the <a href=\"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2024\/03\/leap-2024-kicks-off-in-riyadh-tomorrow\/\">LEAP 24 conference<\/a> held in Riyadh new initiatives aimed at enhancing the Kingdom&#8217;s position as a leading global investment destination in the field of technology and innovation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5 initiatives to support various stages of tech companies&#8217; growth:<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>AIM Initiative:<\/strong> Aims to improve access to research and development infrastructure for the private sector, in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (<a href=\"https:\/\/kacst.gov.sa\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">KACST<\/a>), the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2024\/03\/sdaia-signed-a-memorandum-of-understanding-with-ibm-middle-east-to-develop-a-large-scale-arabic-language-model-on-the-watson-ix-platform\/\">SDAIA<\/a>), and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaust.edu.sa\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">KAUST<\/a>).<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Fuel Initiative:<\/strong> Aims to support <a href=\"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2024\/03\/stc-group-launches-tali-ventures-fund-to-support-innovation-and-startups\/\">venture capital funds<\/a> investing in early-stage startups, in collaboration with the Saudi Venture Capital Company (<a href=\"https:\/\/entarabi.com\/en\/2024\/03\/saudi-arabia-strengthens-its-leading-position-in-the-world-of-technology-launch-of-several-investment-funds-at-leap\/\">SVC<\/a>).<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>FundSwift Initiative: <\/strong>Aims to provide funding for early-stage project-backed companies, in partnership with the Saudi Development Bank.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>SourceTech Initiative: <\/strong>Aims to provide financial support for technology outsourcing companies to expand in the Kingdom, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ntdp.gov.sa\/en\/initiative\/transform\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Transform+ Initiative<\/a>:<\/strong> Aims to provide grants to facilitate the transition to cloud computing for startups, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boosting investment in the technology sector:<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>These initiatives are part of Saudi Arabia&#8217;s efforts to boost investment in the technology sector and attract startups and talent from around the world. They aim to create a supportive environment for the growth of tech companies at all stages of development, from early stages to maturity and expansion.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elevating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia&#8217;s position:<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Commenting on these initiatives, the Minister of the National Information Technology Development Program (NTDP) stated that these initiatives represent a significant step towards elevating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia&#8217;s position as a global hub for technology and innovation.
