The Sharjah Economic Development Department and its subsidiary, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation “Ruwwad,” participated in the seventh edition of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2024, organized by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center “Sheraa,” on February 3rd and 4th. The festival, themed “Together… We Shape the Future,” took place at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park.<\/p>\n
Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, emphasized the department’s commitment to engaging in events that support entrepreneurship, considering it a cornerstone of the national economy.<\/p>\n
He highlighted the role of the department and the foundation in empowering young entrepreneurs by providing them with knowledge, experiences, and fostering cooperation among them, thus enhancing Sharjah’s position as a gateway to emerging markets and a valuable opportunity for the development and growth of many entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
Al Mahmoud further explained that Sharjah’s economy, through its participation in this event, seeks to enhance communication with participating entities and provide Emirati youth with continuous support for the development and benefit from Ruwwad’s programs.<\/p>\n
Fatima Al Ali, Director of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation “Ruwwad,” stated, “The foundation aims, during the festival, to shed light on its system of services and programs provided to support small and medium-sized entrepreneurial projects in the emirate.<\/p>\n
This includes financing services, consultations, training, and virtual incubators, as well as a package of benefits and facilities for members of the foundation.”<\/p>\n
