According to the details, the agreement gives SpaceX the option to activate the acquisition within the current year, along with a $10 billion termination clause in case the deal is not completed, amid intensifying competition in the AI-driven software development market.
Founded in 2022, Cursor is among the fastest-growing software companies in the sector, benefiting from a rapidly expanding base of software developers and increasing adoption of AI code-generation tools, making it a strategic target in the race to build AI infrastructure.
