During 2025

Throughout 2025, the Middle East and North Africa region — in parallel with major global developments — witnessed intensive investment activity in startups between June and December 2025.

According to the Investments and Acquisitions Report by “entArabi”, total startup funding and acquisition deals exceeded $207.61 billion, driven by major regional and global mega-deals.

Investment activity showed clear momentum in artificial intelligence, financial technology, gaming, digital commerce, and sustainable infrastructure.

In Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom continued to strengthen its regional leadership in AI, gaming, and financial technologies, supported by large-scale strategic investments and acquisitions.

Market Trends

The UAE played a key role in AI, semiconductors, and startup financing, with continued international investment participation.

In Egypt, activity focused mainly on financial technology and artificial intelligence, alongside selective growth deals in digital commerce.

Globally, mega-deals such as Netflix–Warner Bros Discovery and Brookfield × Qai represented a major share of total investments. However, regional activity continues to grow steadily across advanced technology, digital commerce, and sustainable agriculture sectors.
