The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (Spark) has inaugurated its new AI Hub, an integrated platform designed to enhance artificial intelligence services, digital technologies, and capacity building as part of the UAE’s broader strategy for technological transformation and business innovation.
The center is expected to establish a series of regional and international partnerships to support advanced high-performance computing technologies, which will directly enhance digital transformation across key industries, especially smart city solutions, healthcare systems, industrial manufacturing, and sustainability initiatives.
Commenting on the launch, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, said:
“The launch of the AI Hub marks an important step in reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a global destination for innovation and advanced technologies”.
He Add:
” Through this initiative, we aim to accelerate the adoption of AI applications, empower talent, and support companies in transforming their ideas into practical solutions with tangible impact that contributes to sustainable economic growth.”
The AI Hub aims to bridge the gap between innovation and practical implementation by offering integrated services that include consulting, applied research and development, data analytics, prototype development, and advanced computing infrastructure.
Capacity building is also one of the hub’s core pillars, as it will provide training programs, certifications, and hands-on workshops to equip professionals, researchers, and government entities with the skills needed to adopt and scale AI solutions.
The center will also support startups and entrepreneurs by offering infrastructure, mentorship, and opportunities to develop and commercialize innovative technologies.
This initiative aligns with national priorities, including the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, and is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening Sharjah’s position as a trusted and competitive hub for advanced technologies.
By fostering stronger public-private partnerships and enabling the deployment of secure and sovereign AI solutions, the center aims to create tangible economic value and support sustainable development.
