- The company plans to add 15 new universities in Egypt by 2026 and expand further into GCC markets.
Qualiphi, a company specializing in AI-powered career readiness and employment services management, has completed the acquisition of the Career Club platform, previously owned by iCareer, during the second half of 2025. The deal, valued at six figures, is part of the company’s strategy to expand digital career development services across Egypt and the Middle East and Africa.
The acquisition supports Qualiphi’s vision of building the first Arabic Career Services Management (CSM) platform that enables universities, career centers, and employers to manage career development programs, job opportunities, and career guidance through an integrated digital system powered by artificial intelligence.
Career Club was originally developed by iCareer, a company specialized in career consulting and youth employability programs. The platform was among the early digital solutions in the Middle East and Africa that provided virtual career center services aimed at bridging the gap between education outcomes and labor market needs. Through its digital tools, the platform helps students and graduates develop their skills, prepare for career paths, and connect with available job opportunities.
The platform has also supported several initiatives in collaboration with international organizations, including the International Labour Organization, funding programs backed by UK Aid, and joint projects with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Today, Qualiphi serves as the official platform for managing career readiness and employment services for several universities and institutions in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. These include the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ain Shams University, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the Canadian International College in Egypt, along with a number of academic institutions and private sector partners.
Through its partnerships with academic institutions, the company has supported nearly half a million young people in Egypt in their career readiness journey and preparation for the job market. The company has also expanded its presence in the Gulf region through partnerships with three major universities, helping support more than 7,000 students in the GCC in developing career skills and preparing for professional opportunities.
Commenting on the acquisition, Nevine Magdy, Founder and CEO of Qualiphi, said that acquiring the Career Club platform represents a strategic step toward building a leading regional platform for AI-powered career services and employment management. She explained that the company aims to create an integrated digital ecosystem connecting universities, employers, and career centers to better prepare young people for the future labor market.
Magdy added that the Egyptian market offers significant opportunities in technology-enabled career readiness services, especially given the growing number of graduates and the high proportion of youth in the country’s population. By integrating Career Club into Qualiphi’s platform, the company plans to provide advanced services including career guidance, skills development, CV improvement tools, and digital job fairs, helping young people improve their access to employment opportunities.
She also revealed that the company plans to add 15 new universities across Egypt to its client network during 2026, while working to position its digital platform as the primary gateway for managing career readiness and employment services for universities and institutions.
Magdy noted that career services and employability platforms are widely used globally by universities and organizations to manage career counseling, mentorship, and connections between talent and employment opportunities. However, the adoption of such platforms remains limited in North Africa and the Arab region, where many institutions still rely on solutions provided by international companies outside the region.
She explained that the acquisition of Career Club represents a key step toward building the first integrated regional platform for career services and employability management in the Arab world and North Africa. The company aims to develop a unified AI-powered digital ecosystem that connects students, universities, employers, and governments to better prepare young people for the future workforce.
Qualiphi is also planning to expand into two additional GCC countries in the coming phase as part of its regional growth strategy.
Akram Marwan, Chairman of iCareer, said that Career Club represents the result of years of work in career readiness and graduate employability. He expressed confidence that Qualiphi’s vision and technological capabilities will help further develop the platform and expand its impact across universities and institutions in Egypt and the wider region.
The acquisition comes at a time when Egypt’s labor market is undergoing rapid changes. According to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the number of higher education graduates in Egypt reached approximately 743,000 in 2024, representing a 15 percent annual increase. Meanwhile, the total labor force reached around 34.7 million individuals in the third quarter of 2025, marking a 3.3 percent annual growth.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen the role of technology in improving career readiness services in Egypt and the region by building a comprehensive digital ecosystem that connects education, skills development, and employment opportunities.
