Netis Group Acquires Majority Stake in Netcom Technologies Morocco

  • Netis Group has acquired a majority stake in Netcom Technologies, a Casablanca-based technology integrator, to strengthen its presence in Morocco’s digital infrastructure sector.
  • The acquisition expands Netis’ activities beyond telecom towers and fiber networks into critical IT infrastructure and high-availability physical and digital security systems.
  • The move supports Netis’ broader strategy, led by CEO Alykhan Kassam and backed by investors including IFC, AfricInvest, and Amethis, to become a digital infrastructure and energy services partner across Africa.

Pan-African infrastructure leader Netis Group has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Netcom Technologies, a Casablanca-based technology integrator. Signed on February 17, 2026, the deal is a strategic move to anchor Netis’ traditional telecom activities in Morocco while expanding its portfolio into critical IT infrastructure and high-availability security systems. Netcom Technologies, founded in 1992, is a well-established player in the Moroccan ecosystem, serving both public institutions and private organizations with high-value technical solutions.

The acquisition follows a significant leadership transition within Netis Group. In October 2025, Alykhan Kassam—formerly of Siemens and John Cockerill—was appointed CEO to lead the company’s next phase of growth. This expansion is backed by a consortium of investors including Amethis, AfricInvest, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Proparco.

By integrating Netcom’s expertise in physical and digital security, Netis aims to transition from a telecom tower and fiber infrastructure provider into a broader digital infrastructure and energy services partner across its operations in 16 African countries.

Alykhan Kassam, CEO of Netis Group, stated:

“This acquisition is a structural operation that anchors our traditional activities in Morocco while expanding our portfolio toward new professions across all our geographies. It marks an important step in our strategy to design, deploy, and operate critical infrastructure for both the telecommunications and energy sectors.”
