Charikaty Secures MAD 1.5 Million Investment on 2M’s Startup Show

  • Charikaty raises MAD 1.5 million on “Qui Veut Investir Dans Mon Projet?” Season 3.
  • Investment backed by Ilan Benhaim and Karim Amor.
  • Funding will support technology development and nationwide expansion in Morocco.

Moroccan legal tech startup Charikaty has secured a MAD 1.5 million investment during Season 3 of the television show Qui Veut Investir Dans Mon Projet?, broadcast on national channel 2M.

The funding came from two prominent business figures: Ilan Benhaim, co-founder of Veepee and Chairman of Endeavor Morocco, and Karim Amor, President of MeM by CGEM and founder of Epineon.ai. Both investors backed the startup following a pitch that highlighted Charikaty’s growth trajectory, market opportunity, and long-term strategic vision.

Simplifying Business Creation in Morocco

Founded by Amr Mouaqit (CEO) and Driss Sijelmassi (COO), Charikaty focuses on digitizing and simplifying company formation in Morocco.

Starting a business in the country often requires navigating complex administrative procedures and extensive paperwork. Charikaty addresses this challenge through fully digital services that manage legal structuring, documentation, and government registration. The platform aims to reduce a process that can take weeks into a faster, transparent online experience.

Positioned Within Morocco’s Digital Transformation

Morocco registers more than 90,000 new companies annually. At the same time, the government is advancing digital transformation under its Maroc Digital 2030 strategy.

Charikaty aims to position itself as critical digital infrastructure for entrepreneurs by offering services that include:

  • Company formation
  • Corporate modifications
  • Business dissolution
  • Trademark registration
  • Ongoing legal compliance

Earlier this year, the startup joined the first cohort of the Plug and Play & Technopark Morocco Accelerator, a three-month program that featured workshops, mentorship, and over 230 investor meetings. CEO Amr Mouaqit also presented the company’s vision to Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Morocco’s Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform.

Growth Plans Following Investment

According to Mouaqit, “Every year, tens of thousands of Moroccans take the leap to start a business. Our job at Charikaty is to make sure the legal process never stands in the way of that ambition.”

He added that the investment validates Morocco’s readiness for a new standard in how businesses are created and managed.

With the new funding, Charikaty plans to:

  • Enhance its technology platform
  • Expand services nationwide
  • Scale offerings for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and Moroccans living abroad
