UAE-based Buildroid AI, a startup specializing in autonomous construction robots, has raised $2 million in a Pre-Seed round led by global investor Tim Draper, known for backing major companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, and Robinhood.
The new investment will accelerate the development and deployment of Buildroid’s autonomous construction robots, particularly those designed for labor-intensive interior wall workflows.
Founded in 2025 by Slava Solonitsyn, Buildroid AI focuses on connecting Building Information Modeling (BIM) with real on-site execution through a platform powered by digital simulation and robotic control software. The company aims to transform traditional construction operations by integrating both specialized and general-purpose robots directly into contractors’ workflows.
The funding will support expanded field trials, enhance the robots’ self-simulation and control capabilities, and prepare for the first commercial rollout in Q2 2026 in partnership with regional contractors. Part of the operational savings achieved through robot deployment will also be reinvested to fuel future growth.
The UAE’s construction market—estimated at $42.75 billion—offers strong commercial potential for emerging construction-tech players such as Buildroid AI.
