Rain: The First Licensed Crypto assets Trading and Custody Company in Bahrain
Rain, the leading provider of Crypto assets trading and custody services in Bahrain and the Middle East, participated in the Fintech Forward 2024. In an interview with entArabi, Batool Alkhaja, the company’s Director of Public Policy, discussed Rain’s vision and future plans.
Rain is one of the pioneering companies in the field of Crypto assets trading, having received its official license from the Central Bank of Bahrain in 2019, making it the first of its kind in the Middle East. According to Alkhaja, the company is continuously working to improve its services and platform, currently serving the GCC countries and other regions in the Middle East.
Alkhaja emphasized the importance of the forum, describing it as a significant shift in the financial sector. It allows companies to connect directly with key stakeholders and decision-makers at the Central Bank of Bahrain, banks, and other companies. This engagement opens new doors for collaboration between the private and public sectors, enhancing opportunities for financial technology development in the region.
Regarding expansion plans, Alkhaja confirmed that Rain is always looking to extend its services, whether by increasing the number of countries it serves or improving the services offered through its digital platform.
Alkhaja also pointed out that Fintech Forward 2024 is not just a chance to exchange ideas and expertise but an essential step toward building a more sustainable future for financial technology in Bahrain and the region. The forum promotes innovation and drives digital transformation, contributing to the development of a regulatory environment that supports the growth of the Crypto assets sector.
