Tomorrow, Riyadh Hosts the Esports World Cup: Free Fire with the Participation of 18 Teams

The highly anticipated Esports World Cup: Free Fire is set to take the stage in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this week! The stakes are high for all eighteen teams as the winner will not only walk away with the biggest slice of the USD1,000,000 prize pool, but also get a ticket to compete in the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2024 in Brazil later this year.

Esports World Cup: Free Fire will be held across three stages. During the Knock-out Stage from Jul 10 to 12, teams will be separated into three groups of six, with two groups competing per day.

The top 12 teams based on points collected over the three days will then proceed to the Point-Rush Stage on Jul 13, where all points will reset and teams will fight to earn headstart points going into the Grand Final.

Last but not least, the Grand Final will kick off on Jul 14, with the teams battling it out in a race to the top.

After weeks of intense competition at regional Free Fire World Series (FFWS) leagues as well as local qualifiers, 18 teams have emerged as the fierce contenders to the Esports World Cup (EWC) throne.

Group A comprises two teams each from Indonesia and Brazil, as well as one team each from Thailand and Mexico.

Teams to look out for include EVOS Esports, a seasoned team that has collected the most number of Free Fire esports titles in Indonesia, Mexico’s 19esports, as well as FLUXO, a team which houses three former world champions.
