A bold investment

Xvierce raises $3 million in a funding round to support web gaming in Dubai

Dubai-based gaming startup Xverse has successfully secured $3 million in a private funding round to propel its ambitious project aimed at revolutionizing web3 gaming.

Led by prominent investors such as Kogeto Ventures, Quintelligence, and Monrock Capital, the funding round also saw participation from industry heavyweights like Cocoon Labs, Epic Games, Sidepay, and Chain GP.

This substantial investment will bolster Xverse in its preparations for the upcoming alpha launch and the release of its cryptocurrency, along with establishing strategic partnerships and expanding marketing initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.

Amidst concerns surrounding the sustainability of initial web3 gaming models, Xverse is committed to addressing these concerns by prioritizing gameplay quality over tokenomics.

Unlike many of its predecessors who primarily focused on digital token mechanics and lavish marketing without delivering compelling gameplay experiences, Xverse strives to engage both casual gamers and cryptocurrency enthusiasts alike.

The gameplay experience in Xverse revolves around its three ambitious planets designed to deliver advanced and immersive gaming experiences.

These three planets – Battle, Missions, and Social – cater to diverse playstyles while remaining interconnected within a unified timeline.

Players engage in competitive seasons lasting eight weeks, known as “Seasons,” where they compete for dominance and reap rewards through strategic gameplay rather than pay-to-win mechanics.

Planet Experiences: Battle, Missions, Social

Battle Planet: Prepare for adrenaline-pumping action as players engage in massive group battles and intense team encounters, pushing their skills to the limit.

Missions Planet: Join forces with friends to control seasonal events, embark on clan raids, and undertake special partnership missions, challenging your teamwork and strategy.

Social Planet: The heart of Xverse, where players gather to host community events and participate in underground player gatherings, fostering a vibrant and interactive gaming community.

Xverse leverages the Unreal Engine 5 to enhance the gameplay experience, striking a delicate balance between realism and entertainment.

Gameplay allows players to earn rewards by staking digital tokens before each season, with top performers receiving a share of profits from in-game non-fungible tokens (NFTs) like cosmetics and skins.

With the alpha launch and a 5000-player tournament slated for March, Xverse has already garnered significant interest, surpassing over 65,000 verified subscribers.

The tournament will precede the one-on-one combat mode held on the Battle Planet in-game, releasing digital tokens, providing an exclusive opportunity for early waitlist members to showcase their skills.

Fai Yew Hong, CEO of Xverse, expressed the company’s pioneering vision, noting that they see themselves as leaders in the gaming industry for building a AAA-quality first-person shooter game with web3 elements.

He emphasized the importance of delivering a visually appealing and engaging game before integrating digital token mechanics.

Hong believes that Xverse is poised to captivate audiences in a manner reminiscent of beloved gaming titles such as ‘Call of Duty,’ ‘Halo,’ and ‘Counter-Strike’.
